Haven Toronto is a drop-in centre where elder homeless, marginally housed and socially isolated men can feel safe, form and cultivate friendships, and become part of a community. 2018 marks their 85th anniversary.

Who are their clients?

There are 3000+ men over the age of 50 in homeless shelters in Toronto every year. Hundreds more sleep outdoors and in precarious accommodations.

The number of seniors who are homeless has doubled in four years. Haven Toronto is their sanctuary, a place where they can feel at home, where they are always welcome and treated with dignity and respect.

How do their programs and services make a difference?

Open 8am to 5pm, 365 days a year, Haven Toronto provides essential services for their day-to-day lives such as healthy meals three times daily, clothing, showers, laundry, recreational amenities, access to crisis and housing counsellors, on-site nurses, dental hygienists, barbers, and more.

How can you support their mission?

We are proud to raise funds for Haven Toronto through our Culinary Journey contest. You can help support their mission by purchasing a $25 contest entry. Your entry will also give you the chance to win dinner-for-two at eight of Toronto’s finest restaurants. Including The Carbon Bar and Barsa Taberna.
