Culinary Journey Contest Aims to Alleviate Hunger and Poverty

Toronto-area residents can enter for a chance to win an eight-stop culinary journey through the city’s top restaurants while helping to alleviate hunger and poverty in their community.

Dine to Donate’s first fundraising contest brings together some of Toronto’s most innovative and socially conscious restaurants to support the city’s leading advocates for poverty and hunger reduction, including Second Harvest, the Toronto Vegetarian Food Bank, Nellie’s Shelter, Haven Toronto and Elizabeth Fry Toronto.

The Carbon Bar, Miku, Adega, Barsa Taberna, Awai, Eastside Social, Pollyanna and Cherry Street BBQ headline this innovative fundraising effort.

"These outstanding establishments share something beyond great food, service and atmosphere. The management and employees care deeply about the communities they serve," says Dine to Donate’s Founder, Ramak Jaberi. "Our foundation’s aim is to empower restaurants and their patrons to alleviate hunger and poverty in their communities through unique and memorable culinary experiences.”

Toronto-area residents have until December 18 to purchase a $25 entry, with no limit to the number of entries permitted per person. One lucky winner will experience the city’s world-class culinary scene; and with the support of each entry, every community benefits.
